Stayed here for 1 night whilst visiting family nearby. The receptionist gave us a very warm welcome and when we asked if we could walk around the golf course we were loaned an umbrella as there was a chance of rain. This was a really nice touch. We had a drink in the bar and wanted a bar snack but the options were limited by lack of availability. The cabin was really nice. Lovely comfortable bed but the lighting could have been much better the cabin was quite dark and the mirror over the dressing table was in a dark corner so not ideal, however, the lit mirror in the bathroom was excellent. The bathroom was lovely and the towels were of good quality. The windows in the cabin were locked so opening them could have been difficult had we not found a key for them wedged in the frame, the windows hadn't been opened in a long time the cobwebs were testament to this. There were no seats outside the cabins as advertised and it would have been nice to sit to watch the golfers. All the staff we met were very friendly and attentive. We would probably stay here again when visiting the area.

We stayed here for one night. The lodges are in a nice setting but check in was interesting. They insist on putting a £100 hold on our credit card even though the room was prepaid. The room itself was basic, nice enough with poor condition carpeting. Also the rooms have no wifi which in 2015 at £90 a night is unheard of. We stayed here to attend a function so for what we wanted it worked. I wouldn't stay here again as it is a bit basic for me and the lack of wifi is a deal breaker.

We were given a really warm welcome and were soon sitting on the terrace on the beautiful rattan furniture enjoying bacon butties in the sunshine. The golf course was very well maintained and quiet in the afternoons. We used our irons a lot which was good practice and there are plenty of bunkers. Some of the holes are a little similar in terms of terrain. The evening meals were really delicious, particularly the carvery which is a choice on the menu every day. The prices at the bar are very reasonable. The rooms were situated next to the 18th fairway and green and we enjoyed sitting in the sun after our games and watching the other golfers finishing their rounds. The accommodation is extremely clean with very comfortable beds, crisp white linen and lovely big walk in showers. This was a really excellent 'value for money' golf break. We loved it!!

I attended a wedding at calderfields, it was a beautiful day and the food was very nice. The cabin we stayed in was lovely also.. however, the next morning I was made to sit at a table for breakfast with people I don't know. When my full English breakfast arrived I had no egg, 1 sausage, half a strip of bacon, two hash browns and a tablespoon of beans considering the price we paid for the cabin I would expect a bit more from a 'Full' English breakfast.
Somebody on another table was given there breakfast shortly after us and lo and behold they had eggs.

Excellent carvery meal and service. We come to Calderfields often because of the service, food and value for money. Very pleasant surroundings. Calderfields will also be our wedding venue in September.

A very successful network event was held at Calderfields on Monday evening. The carvery was amazing and enjoyed by all as were the lovely selection of puds. All the staff were very helpful in getting the room sorted and meeting our requirements and the waitresses did an excellent job in clearing up. Thank you to all concerned.

4 of us went for lunch today and it was absolutely delicious!! Melt in the mouth beef with every vegtable I could think of! All fresh and piping hot, couldn't fault it. Super service with lovely waiting staff. Will definitely be back and it will become a firm favourite.

Went here for a family meal . Carvery on a Sunday ,carverys can often be a let down but this was pretty decent . Staff were good and were tolerant with two toddlers and gave them a free dessert . Not bad for price. Not intimate or cosy but great for a lot of people or work parties . However they were advertising Christmas which was a bit of a shock . It's may !!!

Lovely location with excellent views. Visited Mothers Day and was impressed with the fantastic Sunday carvery. Why go to Toby carvery when you can do it in style - with more choice and better quality!

I visited Calderfields in August for a friends wedding and stayed in a lodge overlooking the beautiful grounds.
Very pretty and modern inside and you couldn't ask for better surroundings. The only issue I experienced was at breakfast with a not so helpful waiter who decided it was inconvenient for me to ask for something other than a full English! Service at breakfast definitely needs to be worked on but the meal at the wedding and all the other staff were faultless.
All in all, couldn't fault the grounds and the lodge itself especially for the price, just a few issues on service that need to be addressed.

A friendly and welcoming venue serving good food at really good prices and there's always a vegetarian option, I'd definitely recommend this place to friends, they host different daytime and evening events during the week and at weekends. I'll be returning soon!

The country club is very welcoming and all the staff try to look after you as much as possible.

A great weekend had by my son and myself we where made very welcome ,and on arrival got invited to a cabaret night on the sat night ,fantastic show and meal would recommend its a pity our golf play wasn't as good ,but getting back to our stay cabin was very comfortable every thing you want breakfast and food during our stay 1st class everyone could have not been more friendly. Highly recommend you must give it a try we will definitely be returning

Our second visit proved to be as good as the first. Two nights dinner, bed & breakfast with 3 rounds. Excellent clean rooms with everything you need. Mouthwatering food served by friendly staff. Cracking course & all round great value.

I regularly visit Calderfields Golf Club for meetings - Rotary Club, Team Meetings, Evening Functions. You are guaranteed a warm welcome and great service. The staff are always smiling and keen to help.
I've eaten many meals there and can vouch for the quality of the food.
I know they do weddings and cabaret too but haven't had the chance to attend any of them yet (I live out of the area).
From my point of view the club is faultless and the golf course looks nice too.

Stayed in April and Sept had great time.golf good food fantastic.the lodges we stayed in again was fantastic rearly modern good size tv on the wall and the bathroom is very up to date with a massive shower.

A very pleasant surprise ,for the money asked,a lovely course,comfortable log cabins on the course and a lovely club house and very nice restaurant, the staff and members we encountered were very welcoming and friendly, so all in all ,a great weekend, for a cost you'd find hard to beat

I recently visited Calderfields Golf Club for a Olly Murs & Bruno Mars tribute. It was an amazing night from the food,service,tribute and great Entertainment from the in house DJ's called midlandsprodj. Highly recommend and will be returning in the near future for one of their other events.

Having visited at the this time last year we decided to return this year a week later to hopefully avoid any wet weather. Wrong! when we arrived on the Friday there was a steady deluge of water landing on the greens near the clubhouse, golf was not looking an option. after an hours delay the rain stopped and our round was under way we were led out by a team of greens staff who swept the greens and placed the pins at the driest points. Now that's dedication to your service. Everyone we came into contact with made us feel very welcome and their level of customer service is outstanding. The general feedback from our party of 35 golfers was all positive throughout our stay.

We have stayed here twice now with another 2 night stay booked this summer for 16 ladies! Loved the accommodation and excellent food. Enjoyed the course very much. We have been on several of short golf breaks and this was one of the better ones. Can definitely recommend this venue.
