Visited as part of a work group. This was a very mixed experience. On our table of ten some were delighted others very disappointed.
The fixed price menu offers great value for money. The free bottle of wine per pair is however not great quality and we much preferred the bottles off the wine list which were not expensive. The rack of lamb was superb and as nice a piece of lamb as you could want however the sauce was a very average gravy. Fresh veg were ok. The canelloni starter was ok but needed a much richer cheese sauce. The panna cotta was much too firm, the gelatin could be cut by half. All said however at under £18 this is far from expensive. Staff were very good.

Visited for a birthday celebration and we were made to feel welcome immediately by the staff. Although quiet for a Tuesday evening the food was good and served promptly. We had their fixed menu with complimentary wine. If you didn’t want to travel far this is a good choice for a local restaurant

We went for my sons birthday meal having been recommended by others and were impressed. It was like taking a step back in time for me having spent my youth in the Hop N Grape which was in this building.
The food was excellent- especially the steaks which two of us had. The service was pleasant and efficient.
To get a bill for the four of us at only £80 was a pleasant surprise.
Will definitely return.

Have been to Da Vinci's several times in the past and have always had good food. This time was disappointing. Most of the others in my party seemed satisfied with their meals. We all, except my son, ate from the set Sunday menu. I really wish I had not. I had duck rolls to start. I've had them before and enjoyed them but this time they were not served with a side salad but raw chopped onion! My main was chicken parmesan which I found to be dry and tasteless. I decided to give dessert a miss and had a liqueur coffee instead (that was very nice).
The service was good and I am sure we will go again and hopefully the food will be better then.

Great music, good food, friendly and helpful staff. The service was quick and efficient and the food was tasty and hot. Have been to this restaurant many times and always had an enjoyable time but last night was very special.

Visited for dinner the other night. The food was probably slightly less than average compared to other Italian restaurants I have visited in nearby towns. I have given 3 stars instead of 2 as the wine was cheap, the service was good and friendly and the bill wasn’t too harsh on my bank account. I still wouldn’t visit again.

Have eaten a few times here and the food is OK but the ambiance is lacking. It helps if you are in a large party so can make your own atmosphere but it just doesn't seem to pull off the Italian restaurant feel and seems a bit down market. You wont have a 'bad' meal but would not recommend for a cosy couples night out.

I went there for lunch with my friend today. We had a three course lunch for under £10 each, which is incredible value for money, as the quality of the food is top class. Service was perfect as always. We were very comfortable and made to feel welcome - as always.
This was the first time I tried crepes for desert. They were filled with ice cream and there was a choice of sauces to go with it. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect end to a wonderful meal. We will be returning there again soon. Highly recommended.

A warm welcome from all the staff and the food was amazing. My hubby and I were born and brought up in the catering trade and we both said the tornado Rossini was the best we’d eaten. True Italian atmosphere and will definitely go back.

Visited Da Vinci's on fathers day. Didn't have a table booked but they managed to fit us in, even though they were really busy. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Excellent quality food for really good prices. Family favourite restaurant!

We booked a birthday meal and as we’d never been there before we didn’t know what to expect. We were seated promptly, we were spoilt for choice, the menu is very varied. The food was delicious and good quality. There was just enough time was left between each course. The staff were very attentive. Superb value for money, we had a lovely evening. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone who would like a great Italian meal at very reasonable prices.

We will visit again as perhaps they were having a bad night but the wait for food was crazy. And it wasn’t even hot when it came. It did taste microwaved and then like it had been left for a while. Shame as I have been before and had excellent service.

Hi, we went here on a thursday night and it was really busy, the owner was a joker and friendly and made people laugh. The was was good i had a pizza which was great and my wife had pasta. If i ever return to swindon i will call back here.

This was my first visit of the year and was long overdue. I had forgotten how good the food is. Again, faultless service and atmosphere and wonderful food which was excellent value for money. We were unhurried and it was a very pleasant couple of hours. Highly recommended. There are plenty of parking places in Morrisons car park just opposite.
My friend had a prawn salad for starters while I had camembert cheese with cranberry sauce. The sauce was a bit sweet for my liking, but that may be just personal choice. For main course we had beef lasagne, a tried and trusted favourite. For desert, we both had a very naughty double chocolate cheese cake that was to die for. I dread to think about the calories in it.
All in all, an excellent value three course lunch of high quality food. I plan to return there again soon.
