Really disappointed with leamore given so many positive reviews. Compared to alternative national companies Leamore were +£2000 more for our windows and door. Decided to go with them on the base of 'best in walsall' and 'best in uk' status and reviews. Initial survey was completed based on assumptions by leamore, this led to incorrectly sized windows in both our front bays. Further to this, we had incorrect glass delivered with our door. The final issue was the worst. Leamore apparently no longer have their own fitters, all fitters are subcontracted. We ended up with two ex-shopfitters who made a complete and utter bodge of our bay windows, damaging the new window sills, filling wall cavities with silicone instead of appropriate filler and leaving a very poor finish. We made a written complaint to leamore and recieved first a phone call excuse that it wasnt their fault (window size) as the survey had been based on our previous timber framed windows (not our requirements). We had to insist that they come out and resurvey and also inspect the finish. To Leamores credit they agreed that the finish was completely sub-standard and agreed to replace the wrong size windows but this was only really because we were withholding the outstanding balance. In total it took Leamore 8 weeks from our original installation date to recitify all our issues. They then refused point blank to provide any compensation, only providing a verbal appology. I would not using this company again. Very over priced and really poor service, especially fitting.

After speaking with Leamore Windows whilst admitting they had a few issues on this job, they stated that at the time of measuring they believe the client did not say that he wanted the wood frame removed and believed that this was the case as it matched the height next door. When the client complained the installations manager agreed to replace the windows at no cost even though the originals they believed were fitted correctly. The fitters in question have worked as sub contractors for Leamore Windows for over 20 years,with a background of shop fitting which is very common in the glazing business. They did not feel that compensation was warranted as there was no financial loss and Leamore Windows had gone to the expense of having new windows made at their expense. They are sorry for the misunderstanding but are happy that these issues were resolved.

Mr Worrallo, I have met with Leamore Windows regarding this complaint. Whist they were naturally very sympathetic with regard to your issue they have stated that following the fitters examination of your floor they believe that the fault lies with how the flooring was laid in that area, not with regard to the sealing of the door. They also noted that water could have entered through the cap flap due to the build up of snow which they noted from the water marks on the outside of the door. They are very concerned regarding your comments and have asked that you should speak directly with Mr.Hackett one of the owners of the business on return from your holiday ,so he can expand on the above and their working practices in installing doors. They have stated that they do take any complaints seriously and are always keen to rectify issues if it is felt that it is due to their making. *********************************************************************************************************** Mr Worrallo has declined to meet with Mr.Hackett
