I've been here a few times with several different friends and each time they have enjoyed this lovely place as have I. Visited yesterday too, always greeted with the most friendliest staff ever. Waited on by several people, which is unheard off in this day, of busyness. I enjoyed the most delicious jacket potatoe with beans/cheese and a little salad, all demolished by me happily as did my friend enjoy her gluten free food. The coffee here is the best and I assure you I have tried a lot of places. The tea is also beautiful as is the enormous choice of tea. A jewel in the crown of Great Barr, a step back in time too which I'm sure a lot of elders would love. I hear they have bands playing on some Fridays and of course they are licensed but I will have to try this first of course. Thanks Debbie for another wonderful lunch and time, see you soon! x

Visited here today with my friend. It is a wonderful tea parlour. Everything we had was lovely and fresh. Service was excellent with the staff dressing in forties style. Lovely atmosphere as well. I would highly recommend the pidgeon parlour for lunch or afternoon tea.

I wanted a special treat for my sister's birthday and we found it at Pigeons Parlour. A really superb tea room hidden away not far from where I live all decked out in the 1940's. While we waited for our tea it was lovely to look around the room and spot things we remembered from our childhood and the three of us indulged in an afternoon of reminiscing. The afternoon tea was plentiful with delicious sandwiches, scones and a selection of cake and a trifle which tasted just like the Bird's trifle mum used to make us. The ladies who served us were lovely, so nice to have a smiley face and time for a quick chat even though they were busy. A wonderful experience and we shall be back. Thank you for making the day so special.

Had afternoon tea with my Mum. She's not in the best of health, however decided to treat her as I was away for her Birthday. The owner took our order and put my Mum at ease and recommended the baked potato with 2 choice fillings, I had the Gentlemans Tea. The service was quick and waitress who delievered the food stayed and had a chat with us to see if it was to our liking. My mother then was treated to an alcoholic drink which put a smile on her face. Thank you Pigeons Parlour (Debbie Mel Pauline & Liz) a wonderful experience which made her day

Today I visited Pigeons Parlour for the first time. As a lover of the early 1900's I was a kid in a candy store. It's like eating in a museum! Food was fantastic and the staff were amazing. Debbie or the lovely girl serving couldn't do enough for us. Thanks, guys, can't wait to visit again.

Mathew.

Me and my family went to Pigeon's Parlour today to celebrate Father's Day, a wedding anniversary and my Nan's 86th birthday all rolled into one, and every single member of the family completely loved the food, atmosphere and feel whilst being in Pigeon's Parlour, and already definitely want to go back again!

The 1940's and war memorabilia is really interesting to look at and obviously makes the atmosphere of the place unique, and the staff are truly an asset to the cafe too - they treated us like friends and inparticular were so kind towards my Nan who was celebrating her birthday, and were only too happy to talk to and do anything for us, which was so lovely and definitely made us feel at ease, and really want to return! I really can't praise the lovely staff at this beautiful cafe enough! They even surprised my Nan with a little cake and singing happy birthday to her, and also were so hopeful and polite when I messaged them before visiting today. The food they prepared was also delicious too - we had two gentleman's and four regular afternoon teas, and there was a good and generous selection and variety of sandwiches, rolls, scones, cakes and additional extras such as pork pie and crackling with the gentleman's afternoon tea!

In summary, I would massively recommend Pigeon's Parlour to anyone of any age! And especially those who lived in the war era I feel would love a visit to this cafe - my Nan said I couldn't have made her day any nicer after a visit to Pigeon's Parlour, and really this shows what a wonderful place it is here :)

Step back to the 40's and soak up the memorabilia and music over a delightful afternoon tea (gentleman's tea and other options are also available). Debbie and her team will ensure you will be looked after and will want to return.

Such a special place - so well presented - I recognised so many things from my childhood and yet it wasn’t dated at all - loved it - the food, the ambiance, the service were all excellent

I was taken to this lovely tea room today for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. What a find....a trrasure trove of memorabilia lovingly collected and displayed. Felt like being back in my childhood tea served from an old fashioned teapot with proper milk jug. Our tea of crustless sandwiches scones with jam and cream and petite cakes was delicious beautiful prepared and displayed. The ladies were attentive friendly without being intrusive and couldnt have been more helpful with finding space for our baby buggy. Cant wait to come back.

Last Saturday five of us decided to go to the Pigeon Parlour and I have to say this is a fabulous place and the staff really polite and geared up to good old-fashioned customer service levels;
We all had afternoon tea and this was divine and fresh. The menu was great and we cannot wait to return to sample further delights.
My Mother and Friend had birthday cards and a small cake with a candle with was a lovely thoughtful touch and appreciated.
The concept of a 1940 Tea room is unique and a refreshing change to the high street chains.
Wishing you all the best for the future and thank you.
Regards and thanks

The fabulous five

what a lovely place, myself and my mother in Law went here this morning for a cuppa and a catch up. she had heard about it at work and wanted to give it a go and I'm so glad we did. What a lovely small independent cafe this is. we didn't have lunch but we had a tea and A scone (which I must say wasn't great - just a microwaved, which made it chewy in your mouth, scone from Asda over the road and was a very small scone) but the afternoon tea looked lovely and the atmosphere was great. The lady was dressed in the matching decor for inside the cafe which was really cool and I would visit again to try the afternoon tea.
