If you are a beer drinker you will know about this pub as it has a fantastic range from which to choose and our "lads that lunch" were delighted with their choices. As if that was not enough the food is excellent being well-cooked and tasty. My preference was the steak and ale pie which was delicious. We were looked after wonderfully mainly by Tracey. Some areas are reached by stairs but it is a large building with plenty of room.
Fully recommend for food and drink on a lunchtime.

Been here a few times now, never had a bad meal... proper home cooked. However my husband has been ill and in a wheelchair and they don’t have disabled facilities here.. such a shame

Never get bored or tired of popping in here. Had a nice copper ale: Tumbling Jack (see photo).
The owners are rather generous with their lovely displays of Oriental Lilies. Some nice artefacts on the walls, (again see photos).
My only regret is that I only had time for a half 😦

Fantastic selection of beer whilst e njoying the match on the big screens. Wow what a BLT sandwich, probably the best I've ever had. The Mrs also loved her large fish finger sandwich. Will return

This is a traditional black country real ale establishment. There is a good assortment of beers and ciders, along with good food. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Would recommend a visit.

Nice to see bar staff passionate about their job and seem to have the appreciation of real ales as an hobby.
At this pub you may be encouraged to try before you buy! I tried four in total and settled on three: Black Country Ales Pig on the Wall, Kelham Island Pint Break and a gluten free Shiny Affinity. I enjoyed a good sized pork pie for £1.50 to accompany my three ales.
A little bit of nostalgia on the walls and traditional wooden features behind the bar. Clean bathroom. Will definitely be returning

What a find !! we found this pub really by accident - because it was a hot day and we felt like a drink while shopping in Walsall.
And I must say it was the best pub I have been in - in years !! it was fabulous. The choice of Beers & Ciders puts the average pub to shame - they had a electronic dispay with different beers / strengh and price on, the pub was very welcoming / friendly and the layout was great with seating on different levels. We didn't have time for lunch but what we saw looked food to die for. It was a pub we would definitly revisit.
Well done !!!

The Black Country Arms City Center Walsall West Midlands Is a city centre public house located opposite ASDA in George Street.
It provides a large selection of ales and ciders and does food at lunchtime and again in the evening.
I visited initially for drinks as I met friends there before going off into the town then returned to eat early evening.
The food is what I would describe as a pub type menu with a good selection of options including vegetarian. The portion size is very good and the quality is really good. I really enjoyed my meal.
Definitely a place I would revisit.
Note:
The layout is on different levels accessed by stairs the bar not being on main entry level. So worth checking before visiting if you have access requirements.

I was jealous! I've settled into having the chilli every time, & although I was tempted I stayed loyal to that chilli. The chilli's to die for, but the curry beats it hands down!!!! I know that's hard to believe, but it's true. So we had to go back so I could have the curry, it was a different curry but delicious all the same :-)''' The chips are lovely, the naan, & the poppadom, oooooh Lord that poppadom was heaven on earth :-)''''''''''''''''''''' It's always a decent drink here whatever you have. Staff's great, & it's cheaper than most places. I shall return.

Great pub, excellent drinks be it real ales or ciders, lovely food as always, knowledgeable staff.
The best pub in Walsall by miles.
The quiz is still hard, but enjoyable, it is on the 3rd Thur of the month.
Previous quizmaster just retired, but in the hands of his amiable younger brother, so will continue as normal.

It wasn't bad, I rated it as average! Away for a lads weekend that happened to coincide with the Champions league final. The choice of beer is immense!!! I ended up on pineapple cider, who'd a thunk it! But, we also had to have tea there to line the stomach for the ensuing hours. It was average, not bad, but average. I had the gammon and eggs, the problem was that the eggs weren't good, and the chips were meh. My veggie friend asked for recommendations, was told to go for the cheese, potato and onion thingy, but after eating decided it was just mashed potato with cheese on top... I know this place is highly rated, but assume it's just CAMRA members keeping a great real ale pub popular, and fair play to that!

Came for food and to try the ales. Friendly welcome with a vast choice of ales. Food was delicious, from a good selection. Chose the Lamb Shank and Vegetable Lasagne. Both dishes tasty and satisfying and very reasonably priced. Have visited before and will return.

First visit since the pub was re-furbished. What a delight!. 16 Real Ales to choose from plus 4 ciders. 2 of us had 3 different half pints each and everyone was superb if not exquisite. Friendly and helpful bar staff plus an interesting menu. My friend had the Faggots and thoroughly enjoyed them but having espied the "Grey Peas and Bacon", I just knew I had to try this local speciality that I'd never heard of in my life before; what is more I thoroughly enjoyed it and followed it up with one of their Cheese and Onion Cobs in lieu of a dessert. My meal was perfectly rounded off with a glass of the Titanic Plum Porter, that I'd never seen or tried before but will drink more of next time I see it .
What a wonderful lunch.

Let me start by saying what a lovely pub great atmosphere and a fantastic choice of real ales then we come to the food not very good. they say you have to wait for your food because every think is cooked fresh the chips were frozen and the chicken was pale and tasted bland like it had been boiled when the waitress came and asked if everything was o.k with the meal we mentioned about the chips being frozen she just collected the plates and went
