Wondering what to do of a weekend? Why not take a stroll around the beautiful surroundings of the Walsall Arboretum. There's a large park area for the children; in the summer months they switch on the water for the wet splash area. There's a recently constructed visitor centre serving hot drinks and snacks etc. There is tennis courts and a really enjoyable walker's path around the large pool with an array of wonderful wildlife. The best of all it's FOC. Hope you enjoy!

Haven't been to the Arboretum for over 40 years, not since my Mom & Dad used to take me and my brothers to the illuminations.

In short, it surprised me. The new visitor centre looks good, but seems basic and it seemed to take a long time to order 2 coffees on a quiet day.

The actual Arboretum was starting to bloom and the trees were full of leaves of all colours. The walk round the lake was pleasant with duck feeding areas and walkways and the bandstand and boathouse were interesting.
Well worth a visit on a summer's day. #FamilyFriendly

Lovely place to walk your dogs around and stretch your legs, especially when there's the annual Walk in the Park event on in aid of Birmingham Dogs Home as there are so many others dogs for her to blend in and socialise with.
There were also stalls selling all sorts of dog related items and treats and the award winning coffee service Cafe2U Solihull selling their award winning coffee and hot chocolate too which was an even bigger bonus.
