It has been revealed that one out of four children across Walsall are failing to reach expected standards of reading, writing and arithmetic, according to provisional Sats results.
Walsall North MP, David Winnick, is set to meet with council bosses in order to see what action they are taking in order to raise the standards and Ofsted. Winnick said:
"It is simply unacceptable that so many children are completing their primary and/or secondary school at a level which in many instances make it so difficult for those involved to get and retain good and well paid employment"
Do you think more needs to be done to ensure that all children leave primary school achieve at least a level 4 in the 'Three Rs'?
