Now youve met Matthew (Matty-Bob, now youre his friends, remember) Cash, so lets hear about this publishing house of his thats taking the literary world by storm, BURDIZZO BOOKS.

BURDIZZO BOOKS began Christmas 2016 when the big old fluffy fella was five stone heavier than the fella you can all meet (at WHSMITH Walsall 10th August), he had already been making a bit of a name for himself in the murky world of the new generation of horror writers, had his first novel, PINPRICK, published and an chocolate-inspired scary story anthology, DEATH BY CHOCOLATE, where he enticed several up and coming writer friends to tantalise our tastebuds with tales of terror. He recently found out that his niece had been diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and he wanted to give something back. He had the attitude, back then, that he couldnt run a marathon to raise money, (he could now- well a short one) so he used what skills he did have. A massive project began called 12DAYS which ran over two Christmases and incorporates three separate anthologies featuring none other than the legendary Graham Masterton, these were all Christmas stories with a horrific theme inspired by a line from the popular Twelve days of Christmas song. All the proceeds went to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

He was hooked on raising money but realised his work needed an expert polisher which is why he took on the amazing Em Dehaney, one of his favourite writers, to be his cohort, editor and general whip-cracker. She is his sister from another mister without whom Burdizzo Books would not have been the thing it is today.

Since then weve had REVEREND BURDIZZO’S HYMN BOOK in aid of NAPAC, an electrical anthology for Resources For Autism called SPARKS, a weather-related anthology UNDER THE WEATHER also for Resources For Autism, plus numerous non-charity anthologies.

Matty-Bob HAS two rules when choosing a charity to raise money for; 1, it has to be something personal to him or his partner in grime, Em; his son, Mortimer has autism and although they havent needed to use Resources for Autism for support yet the love and affection he has seen in its workers won him over, and, 2, they have to let him put their logo on his books, as believe it or not some companies wont!
