Aldridge based playwright Joanne Webster is to launch her latest book at Walsall’s first ever Festival of Words. The event, which runs between 8 - 9th June, will take place in a variety of community venues and is completely free. Joanne’s play, “A Fine Line”, was performed by the Black Country Theatre Group in Life before lockdown to positive reviews. The play has now been published by The Kates Hill Press. The play is a comedy in which patients of a psychiatric unit plan to escape. In the process the fine line between sanity and madness is explored. The launch will take place at Asgard Games in Walsall town centre between 12 - 2pm on Thursday 9th June and is a free event.
