New opportunities are set to come to the area with the announcement of plans to hold an annual canal festival in Walsall. The Birmingham Canal Navigations Society’s have decided to hold their main summer event in the area.
The Annual Canal festival is set to be held at Pelsall common on June 11 and 12. The festival is set to attract boaters from all over the country and therefore will be a big boost for local businesses and the area as a whole.
The event has been held in Pelsall in the past with great success and with the prospect of bringing many people to the area this year it is great news for Walsall. It is hoped that the festival will raise awareness and use of the Birmingham Canal Network.
