Walsall recalled Will Grigg to partner Jon Macken for the vital Easter Monday clash at Boundary Park, Oldham as Walsall really needed a win at this stage of the season and as early as the second minute Grigg set up Jordan Cook who forced a corner. There was a tense moment for the 497 Saddlers fans a few minutes into the game when Warren Feeney had the ball in the net only for it to be ruled out for offside.

Walsall were unphased  by this and went on to force a few more corners as they pressed ahead.  Jon Macken had a great chance to give his side the lead but was denied by a block for another corner. Julian Gray too shot across the face of the goal when he could have done better. Just after half time The Saddlers had what looked like a certain penalty turned down when Macken was fouled in the box.

A brilliant double save from Jimmy Walker kept Walsall in the game on 52 minutes but just six minutes later Walsall took the lad. Tom Williams took a free kick about 25 yards out that everyone missed. A bit of a fluke goal but who cares?! In the 70th minute The Latics were down to ten men when Filipe Morais axed Cook.

Just when it looked lik Walsall would hang on Oldham drew level in teh 88th minute. Jason Lowe pulled the trigger to hit a great goal from outside the penalty box which gave Walker no chance. So again another draw but this inability to hang on to the lead is starting to cost them.
