Appeal by Snuffles Hedgehog Rescue Charity for Volunteers

The charity Snuffles Hedgehog Rescue urgently needs volunteers to help keep poorly hedgehogs comfortable and clean. Hutch cleaning does not sound very glamorous but volunteers get to handle the hedgehogs (albeit briefly) and learn an awful lot in the process. Adorable though they are, hedgehogs are messy little creatures, particularly when confined in a small area. Every hedgehog has to have it`s hutch cleaned out, disinfected and clean bedding put in at least once a day. Snuffles Hedgehog Rescue are appealing for volunteers to spare 2 - 3 hours once a week, fortnight or month to make their "patients" comfortable. They have an urgent vacancy for Tuesday mornings but any offers of help would be much appreciated. Volunteers need to be at least 18 years of age due to insurance restrictions and will training will be given. Volunteers should email via their website www.snuffles-rescue.com.
