After this date shops, restaurants, businesses etc will no longer accept the paper note for payment, however you will be able to exchange the paper note for a polymer note at your bank.
Now is the time to check money boxes, drawers, purses and wallets and make sure you spend or exchange your paper £10 notes by the end of February.
It is estimated that here are over 2 billion of the paper notes still in circulation - wonder how many of these are in Walsall?
The new style polymer £10 note was introduced in September last year and a polymer £20 note will enter circulation in 2020.
