Walsall-based vending and refreshment operator Coinadrink Limited has won the “Best Customer Service” award at the Vendies Awards 2024!
The Vendies Awards is an annual celebration that brings together the best of the vending and refreshment industry. On Wednesday 5th June 2024 at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, suppliers, operators and individuals watched as representatives of the business collected the Best Customer Service gong.
A family-run firm serving the West Midlands and beyond with quality vending and refreshment solutions since 1962, this is just “reward” for the commitment shown by their 74-strong team in serving over 2000 customers.
The business prides itself on combining the latest vending innovations with a longstanding personal touch, building relationships with customers that have seen them become the go-to brand for refreshment solutions across the region.
The firms’ late founder Roger Williams installed these service-based values over six decades ago, with son Tom Williams picking up the baton in 2022 and continuing where his dad left off.
Tom said of this award: “I am incredibly proud of both the individual and company recognition we achieved at The Vendies 2024.
To win the Customer Service award as a business is an incredible feeling and a testament to our whole team buying into our mission of providing a great service, at a fair price with a personal touch for our customers.
The customer feedback we collect on a daily basis says we are doing a great job of delivering on our promises and this award is the result of consistent hard work and commitment to the highest of standards.
This serves of a further mark of confidence for our current customers and any potential future customers to place their trust in us as their partner for refreshment solutions.”
The success didn’t stop there. At the prestigious Grand Connaught Rooms, where fabulous food, drink and entertainment rounded off another fabulous Vendies event, two of Coinadrink’s individuals were also recognised.
Engineer Kieran Jones is no stranger to the Vendies, having scooped the “Best Service Engineer” award in 2022. Two years on, and one year after his colleague Mike Powell also won this same award, Kieran collected the trophy once again. Not a bad three years, all told!
Meanwhile, operator Samantha MacKirdy was recognised for her dedication and professionalism in serving customers up and down the Midlands and was highly commended by judges in the “Woman of the Year” category.
“To have Kieran, part of our Field Service Engineer team take home Best Service Engineer is a huge moment of pride.
Kieron has been with us for over 10 years now starting out as an apprentice and has developed into a really great engineer that we know gets the job done well on any call he attends.
His first fix rate is excellent and his relationship with stakeholders, both internally and externally really sets him apart.” Tom said.
He then continued: “Sam is a huge personality and valuable member of our operations team.
Sam looks after most of our clients in and around the Stoke area, delivering fantastic service day in day out with her machines being immaculate and always a shining example of our commitment to hygiene.
She has a great relationship with all of her customers and really goes above and beyond for Coinadrink.”
So, what’s next for the business? Well, they’ll almost certainly be aiming for further recognition in 2025, but firstly it’s about ensuring of another strong 12 months as a leader in workplace vending and refreshment solutions.
I have worked for Coinadrink Limited as a Digital Marketing Specialist since 2017. I really enjoy my role, exploring the different online platforms to promote the benefits of vending and workplace refreshments....
