We have today been contacted by a local business to make us aware of a 'Champagne Scam' that is taking place in the Walsall area.
The business was contacted by an individual who claimed that they were holding a party and their champagne supplier had let them down. They purchased a large quantity of champagne using a credit card that was later reported as cloned.
Please spread the word to any local bars and restaurants and remain vigilant.
If you are approached, please take all their details and contact the police immediately.
