Walsall Council's Town & District Centre Management Team are teaming up with Skillsmart Retail and the National Skills Academy in conjunction with our local independent retailers on 4th July 2011 to celebrate Independents’ Day.
The public will be encouraged to buy at least one item from a local independent retailer on 4th July and celebrate diversity on the high street. Skillsmart Retail
and the National Skills Academy have joined up with trade associations such as the NFRN and Association of Town Centre Management, along with national, local and trade press to make sure the campaign is a success. The Queen of Shops herself Mary Portas will also be involved in the campaign.
