Next week (Tuesday 24th June) will see Walsall Town Hall packed out to watch Slade Star Noddy Holder receive his Freedom of Walsall accolade.
Up to 300 fans will be able to watch Caldmore-born Holder receive the title as the action is shown in the Town Hall on a live screen. 40 fans will also be able to view the occcasion from the public gallery in the council chamber.
Doors will open at 5.30pm and admission for the event is on a first come, first served basis and therefore when the Council chamber and Town Hall reaches full capacity admission will be denied. The ceremony itself is due to start at 6pm.
After the ceremony, Noddy will appear in the Town Hall for members of the public to take photographs. However, officials have warned that due to lack of time individual photographs or signings won't be able to take place.
