But how many times have you been to such an event and found that there are people who book (and who have paid for it), who don’t turn up? Now, there may well be a good reason, such as something unexpected coming up, but that can’t account for the majority of cases, surely? So why would you pay for something and then not turn up?
Would you go shopping and then not bring it home with you?
I have been to many a networking event where I have either got some business out of it or have met someone who I can either refer or use their services for myself. You won’t get any of that if you don’t turn up.
