Unlike a lot of other Christian feast days such as Christmas Day, Easter does not have a fixed date and is based on the lunar calendar. So, Easter is scheduled to fall on the Sunday that follows the full moon that happens on or after March 21, also known as the Spring Equinox.
So, in Western Christianity, Easter will always fall between March 22nd and April 25th. This year Easter falls at the later end of the scale.
