Walsall Council bosses have suspended parking charges for more than 600 car park spaces for the fourth year running this year, to ensure veterans and those paying their respects in Walsall town centre on Remembrance Sunday will be able to park for free in council owned car parks.
Councillor Adrian Abdrew said "It's the least we can do for people who are paying their respects. Remembrance Sunday is an important day as it allows us all to remember those who have given their lives for the peace and freedoms that we all enjoy."
The charges will be suspended until 6:30pm this Sunday.
