Work is now completed on the Park Keepers Lodge at George Rose Park.
The refurbished building contains meeting rooms/office spaces a kitchen, and toilet facilities including disabled toilets.
Councillor Paul Bott says that it is “pleasing that the park keeper's lodge has been bought back into local community use, it is a historic part of the George Rose Park, which will be 100 years old in 2024”.
Restoration of the original ornamental park gates will also be taking place, these are an important part of the industrial heritage of the area and will form an art installation near to the refurbished
park lodge.
