The Best of Walsall was delighted to attend the opening of the new Nature Base located at the Forest School at Walsall Academy.
As part of their commitment to student wellbeing and in keeping with their rich tapestry of outdoor education and adventure opportunities, Walsall Academy were thrilled to host the Mayor of Walsall to open their exciting new Nature Base dedicated to outdoor learning and wellbeing.
Their new Nature Base enables Walsall Academy to deliver Forest School activities and training, builds on their eco-garden and offers an alternative environment for therapeutic intervention.
This new space means they can now extend their therapeutic offer to include nature-based counselling and therapeutic group work alongside academic pursuits. They are also hoping to invite local primary schools to enjoy the area as well as local businesses as part of our employer engagement commitment
At the Grand Opening, Walsall Academy were delighted to be able to welcome their Governors along with those organisations and companies who have very kindly pledged donations towards the cost of resourcing this fantastic new addition to the school.
