One of the Midlands leading legal groups is breaking new ground by joining forces with a mainstream accountancy firm to provide an all-embracing service for its clients.
The HCB Group, with offices throughout the Midlands, has joined forces with Hatch Accountancy to offer a one-stop shop for all financial and legal matters.
Hatch, a chartered accountancy based in Stratford-upon-Avon specialising in corporate finance, operates on the same basis as HCB by providing a spread of partners and associates who are skilled in all aspects of the financial field.
The firm offers management services, tax planning, business strategy and development, planning and budgeting and following a re-branding two years ago has doubled in size and become the fastest growing company in the Stratford area.
And like HCB, Hatch has a transparent fee structure agreeing prices with clients in advance.
Mike Gahan, chief executive at HCB which now boasts 15 offices throughout the UK including Stratford, said: “Joining forces with Hatch seemed an appropriate move for HCB.
“At the core of both firms is a belief that customer service is paramount and so many legal matters are wrapped up with financial affairs that it make sense to bring together two companies operating with experts in those fields.
“Our clients can now receive the financial and legal advice they need under one umbrella instead of having to deal with two separate sources.
“Hatch operates in the same way as HCB in that we believe in a ‘top heavy’ structure of city-trained professionals able to provide expert advice on all aspects of corporate and private legal matters.
“Hatch has a similar philosophy meaning that from the outset clients will be able to build up a relationship with the people dealing with their concerns.
“We are sure this will be a ‘joining of forces’ which will be of benefit to all concerned, but more especially to the clients”.
Nick Warden, senior partner at Hatch, said: “We operate with many more professionally qualified, experienced people than the average practice and that means that our clients get to talk to the people who will be dealing with their affairs.
“HCB has a similar structure which means that the main contact is qualified and is the person who does the work.
“It makes sense for two firms of a comparable culture to work together to offer clients a wide range of skills covering two interwoven professional sectors”.
