Introducing Matty-Bob Cash, Walsall Poetry Society
9th July 2019

Matthew Cash, Matty-Bob to his friends, is not from Walsall but please dont hold that against him.

He has lived here for almost twenty years (what he classes as ALL of his adult life so far- heĀ  but reckons he never really grew up until the bright lights of Walsall opened his eyes in 2001)so hes practically a Walsallatarian, or whatever you call yourselves here.

Originally, before the beckoning hand of a buxom lady coaxed him from his shed, he lived a sheltered life in rural Suffolk where he was raised on a diet of Hammer Horror films, regional ghost story collections and country and western music, all courtesy of his mother who he holds as his biggest influence in not just his love for reading but music too.

When he first learned to string a sentence together on pen and paper (not long before his fortieth birthday- well about thirty-five years before really) he discovered a passion for storytelling and as a lot of boys that age most of his tales focused on monsters, ghouls and ghosts. Not a lot has changed, except hopefully his grammar, spelling and the ability to fill out a few more pages.

He has a plethora, look at that word - plethora! of books available on Amazon in Kindle form, in Paperback form and on Audible in Audiobook form and if thats not enough you can all come and meet him at Walsall WHSMITH on Saturday 10th August where he will be selling and signing his books from 10am - 3pm! Hell even pose for photos, hug you and even babysit your kids if you buy a book!
