O&O or Orators and their Opinions at the Fountain which is held on the third Thursday of the month between 7:30pm and 10pm.
Its a cracking night that has gone from strength to strength attracting headliners from Swindon, Stoke, Nottingham, Derby and Manchester. It is a really informal night held in the bar of the Fountain pub. I have to thank the Fountain and its regular’s for their support of the evening, they have both been fantastic. The Fountain is a real ale pub with excellent beers, pork pies and crusty cobs. There is also an excellent selection of soft drinks for non drinkers.
The evening is a safe supportive environment where poets can try new things out and we have had a lot of first timers to the scene who we have supported, we have all been there right. We love a regional voice at O&O and have further headliners lined up from both Liverpool although he live in Brighton and Swindon although he is a Londoner.
Its a really diverse and eclectic style of poetry from funny to serious, to political and experimental. The door is open to everybody who wants to have a go. We operate a pass the hat around for our features and a warm Black Country welcome.
