On Sunday May 2nd, Zoom springs to life as Poets, Prattlers, and Pandemonialists bring poetry legend Liv Torc to headline Yes We Cant, their regular monthly night of spoken word.
This appearance follows on from Liv’s show at Wolves Lit Fest fringe room earlier this year, where she talked about her celebrated ‘Haiflu’ project. It ran online through the various lockdowns of the past year, and saw members of the public send in haiku and photographs, which were combined in a series of short films (one a week) to powerful, moving, and highly personal effect.
Mel Perry joins us from south-west Wales to claim the ‘Alf Ender slot. All ten open-mic spots have already been taken, but audience spaces are available. For an audience link, email poetsprattlerspandemonialists@gmail.com
The event starts at 7.30pm and works, as always, on a pay-as-you-feel basis.
