Festival of Lights is a week of creativity, music, poetry and performing arts in Caldmore to take place in the week commencing the 1st November 2021. Caldmore Community Garden will be illuminated with light installations created by Infamous Arts to become a place where diverse traditions of Diwali, Bonfire Night, and All Soul’s Eve meet to light up the night and open the doors to all the community.

From lantern workshops at schools and at the Community Garden to poetry and puppet operating workshops, from poetry slams and performances led by former Birmingham poet laureate  DreadlockAlien to flames and daring stunts of the fire performance by Helter Skelter, from live music by RSVP Bhangra Band and punk ukuleles of Not Quite Dead Yet, from stories from around the world by Peter Chand and Fox& Rocha to Drew Colby’s hand-shadow theatre and puppet theatre by The Fetch, the Festival will celebrate diverse cultural and artistic traditions, and bring people together across cultures to enjoy arts and creativity - free, and for all ages.

The week will end with a Lantern Procession starting from Caldmore Community Garden at 5:45pm on Sunday 7th November, heading to Caldmore Green and finishing back at the Garden in time for the amazing puppet show by The Fetch Theatre Company.
