This week has seen the opening of a new Morrisons Supermarket in Wood Street, Willenhall. The £30 million supermarket is 78,671 sq ft and also has a petrol station and 541 space carpark.
The store has created over 300 jobs for the region however as this sits on the site of the former Yale lockworks (employed thousands in its day) there seems to be mixed feelings amongst the people of Walsall.
There are now 4 Morrisons supermarkets in the borough of Walsall and foundations are currently being laid for a new Tesco on the former Walsall College site.
