Leyton Orient inflicted a 2-0 defeat on to The Saddlers at the Banks's Stadium to end the run of three successive clean sheets but more worryingly with results from elsewhere going against them found themselves back into the bottom four.
Walsall carved out two early chances for themselves. Emmanuel Ledesma found Julian Gray whose shot went just wide as early as the third minue. Then five minutes later Ledesma tried his luck himself with a shot that went even closer.Saddlers went even closer in the 18th minute when Gray blasted against the post. The Gods were not kind to Walsall as also in the first half Marc Antoine Gbarssin thundered a blockbuster from 35 yards against the bar.
Just when Walsall thought they were going into time with their own goal intact Orient took a 42nd minute lead. A Dean Cox cross found Harry Kane who headed home. A minute after the re-start Richard Taundry whipped in a good free kich which visiting keeper Jamie Jones just about saved at the second attempt.
On 55 minutes it was all over for The Saddlers when Jon Tehove scored from close range. Manager Dean Smith, who was facing his old club, introduced Alex Nicholls and Darren Byfield in an attempt to get his men back in the game but the damage was done.
