Pancake Day 2024 in Walsall - Simple Pancake Recipe!

Pancake Day (or Shrove Tuesday) is on Tuesday 13th February this year. So get your flipping technique up to scratch to make some delicious pancakes with this easy recipe!

Ingredients (enough to make 12 Small Pancakes):

1 egg
150ml water
150ml milk
100g white plain flour
1 tsp olive oil

Instructions:

Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the centre
Break the egg into the centre
Stir gently while adding a little milk
Slowly add the rest of the milk while stirring until smooth
Stir in the oil and the water and beat for one minute
Heat oil in a pan and when it is very hot, add 3 tablespoons of the batter mix
Cook for around a minute while using a spatula to see how it's cooking
Flip it (or turn it over with the spatula) and cook the other side for 15 seconds
