Paul B. Morris

Paul B. Morris is a writer who hails from Darlaston, although he was more than likely created somewhere up north.

His stories lean towards dark fiction, horror and the strange, drawing focus from the dark reality of life. His poetry is also predominantly bleak and he apologies for that.

After falling in love with the work of the great Shakespeare, Paul has also drawn inspiration from Lewis Carroll, Stephen King, Graham Masterton and most notably Michael Marshall Smith, who is still his favorite author.

Paul burst onto the local scene, reading poetry and short stories at the Southcart Books, Walsall which sadly no longer there. His poetry is typically bleak and emotional, focusing on the impact of mental health issues, most notably depression. Although, every now and then, his slightly odd humor breaks through.

He has had horror stories published in three anthologies and released The Technician, a short horror story at the beginning of July, which is currently available to buy at Amazon.

Paul runs Pretty Tattered Soul publishing and had published two very successful poetry collections, Within Darkness & Light and Further Within Darkness & Light. All proceeds from the sales or these books were donated to Mind.co.uk a charity very close to Paul’s heart and mind. He has also published books for the acclaimed Walsall poets, Richard Archer’s A Pigeon Among The Cats and Ian Davies’ Cycle.

In the realms of normality, Paul is happily married to an Angel, has four children who constantly get the better of him and wishes that he had time to care for a pet bat. He owns two red t-shirts that don’t suit him.
