Walsall slumped to an embarrassingĀ 4-0 defeat at Rochdale in which the whole team had an off day. Manager Dean Smith rightfully had a go at his players especially his defenders which let him down. It is hoped this was just a one-off shambles. He and the assembled fans had to witness Matt Done, Ashley Eastham and Ian Henderson putting the home side up by half time. After the break the unfortunate Andy Butler conceded an own goal to add to the misery. The Saddlers hardly had a worthwhile attempt at goal themselves but had striker Tom Bradshaw out injured and he was certainly missed.
