So Walsall are safe at last after the end of game 45 of this season following a 1-1 home draw with Huddersfield Town... and a liile help from Notts County who won at Wycombe. This game saw the return of Jimmy Walker in goal for the rested David Grof and one of the first things he had to do was to fetch the ball out of the back of the net after just two minutes following a goal from Lee Novak. The first half showed Walsall to be lacking with ideas and it was as poor a first half as we have seen this season.
Walsall came out a lot more spirited after half time and had a few chances. Just when it looked like it make not happen Flo Cuvelier beat Ian Bennett to send the relieved home fans wild and when news came over that Wycombe had lost it sunk in that safety was assured. So Walsall can enjoy the luxury of enjoying their final game of the season at MK Dons. Bring it on!
