Walsall Writers’ Circle is for anyone who writes or wants to write. Beginners and published writers are equally welcome to join us. Meetings are held at 7.30pm - 9.30pm on the second Thursday in the month in the Walsall College Hub while Zoom meetings are at 7.30pm on the fourth Thursday of the month, with the link being emailed out a few days beforehand.
We are a friendly, supportive group with a programme of talks, discussions, workshops, feedback evenings, writing retreats and in-house competitions all of which are available for members. Visitors are very welcome to join the Circle for one in-hub and one Zoom session (consecutive) free of charge. Membership is by annual subscription, please see the website for up-to-date details.
The Hub has plenty of free parking, and is easily accessible for anyone with mobility problems.

The Circle took a break during August but is now raring to go! Our 2024-25 programme covers various aspects of writing including short stories, poetry, flash fiction, folk tales, non-fiction, young adult etc. We explore writing through talks and hands-on workshops, and support each other through regular feedback sessions and writing retreats. New this year we are introducing weekly writing prompts and tips which will be emailed out to members as well as posted on social media for non-members.
