We’re all looking forward, aren’t we, to breathing deeply in an atmosphere free of fear, in surroundings blessed with the verbal creations of writers who touch our souls in such cerebral fantasy or artistic pleasantry that the oyster becomes our world once more.

Well here we are!! Come and behold this fine pod of wondrous words, and a little music. And if you’ve an inclination to perform your own works, let us know via Facebook or email - spoke@albarz.uk

7:30 to 10:00 pm - please book in advance for a performance slot and/or a seat at a table, cabaret style, to view and listen.

THEME: Coming Up

HEADLINER: Chris Fewings

Chris Fewings has performed at many events in Birmingham, the Black Country and online. He's the author of two books of poetry, Pity the Uncrooked Tree and A Place to Keep My Shadow (launches 14th August). He has recently featured on Brum Radio Poets and his work will appear in Poartry. His poetry's been described as inventive, playful, deeply serious, taking readers by surprise, and (sometimes) humorous. You can read and hear some of his poems on his website,
