Spoke in the Lamp once again switches on its word sparks in mighty Brownhills.
Thanks to all of you who currently continue to support Spoke, wired with electricity in an eclectic battery of open mic performances to an enlightened audience. It is always truly heartening, a power gift from you all when you arrive surging with high volts and strong amps, watts and very few ohms.
Open mic spots are available to any writer who wishes to share and air their work to a friendly audience… and audiences are always very welcome.
PLEASE email or Facebook-message for a spoken word slot, to spoke@albarz.uk
This month we are highlighting R M Francis as our very special headliner. During Covid lockdowns he supplied great readings via Zoom for our lockdown video event/project. (Check out SpokeScreen on YouTube!) This month he will regale us with fascinating, mostly poetic excerpts from his new book, The Chain Coral Chorus. Copies of his writings will be available to purchase, during the break.
