TGI Fridays has confirmed that they will be the fifth and final retailer to form part of the £12 million Walsall Waterfront complex in the town centre, making it the fifth restaurant to be secured for the cinema-led complex, located off Wolverhampton Street.
The American restaurant is the final unit that is part of the first phase of redevelopment in the town centre, following Chiquitos, Hungry Horse, Pizza Express and Bella Italia, who all signed up for the development last year.
In conjunction with the regeneration work being carried out in the town centre and the revamp of the Old Square Shopping Centre, the Light cinema will be be the first cinema in the town centre since 1993, and is set to open next spring.
It is thought that the new restaurant will create dozens of new jobs in the area, and is expected to improve footfall in the town centre.
