THE BOUNDARY COMMISSION FOR ENGLAND IS CONSULTING ON NEW PARLIAMENTARY BOUNDARIES

It is no secret that I am not supporting the Commissions initial proposal that breaks up the constituency of Aldridge-Brownhills, dividing Aldridge in the process.

As a constituency for nearly half a century the communities of Aldridge, Brownhills, High Heath, Pelsall, Rushall, Shelfield, Shire Oak, Streetly and Walsall Wood have formed a strong bond with representation in one Parliamentary constituency.

I believe to divide the Aldridge-Brownhills constituency as in the Commissions initial proposal is a step too far.

I will of course be making my own representation to the Boundary Commission, but it is also important that they hear from as many people from across the Aldridge-Brownhills constituency as possible.
