Called into Tanmed in Aldridge and tried out their latest therapeutic massage chair from Japan.
This really is a state of the art piece of equipment and my understanding from Darren and Lisa (the owners) is that it's the only one in the area.
As someone who has had many different types of massage over the years I thought how could a machine give me as good a massage as a person?
After just 15 minutes I was proved wrong. It took a couple of minutes to get used to the sensation but after that it really did the trick.
I went for a 'Thai massage' and was amazed at how it worked your back and then into the neck and back of your head. The clever part of the machine is that it also works on your feet, arms and hands.
Darren mentioned it was like experiencing 5 massages at the same time which was a very good way of describing the experience.
So if you are looking for a good massage I would certainly give it a go. So convenient: no need to undress, no oils, just take your shoes off, sit in the chair and let it work its magic.
