Voices from the Fountain Returns! Walsall's premiere showcase of local poets, musicians and spoken word artists is back and ready to kick off 2025 in style.
Tuesday 4th February will see Voices return to the Fountain Inn, Lower Forster Street, Walsall from 7.30pm to host headline act, Erica Sofia, a Midlands based songwriter and musician.
Along with Erica, Voices will also play host to a number of open mic performers, with eight performers pre-booked to perform and four more slots available to sign up for on the night.
Voices host, Ryan, has recently been busying himself with performances in the Wolverhampton Literature Festival poetry slam, hosted by Poets, Prattlers and Pandemonialists, and also the Art Meets Poetry project at the New Art Gallery in Walsall, run as part of the Walsall Society of Artists 75th anniversary.
But now it is time for him to set the stage for other performers and he has expressed huge excitement.
"We have got some amazing headline acts booked for this year, starting off with Erica Sofia, who has such a soulful voice and a real catchy and exciting sound. And in addition to the headline acts, I know for sure we'll get some amazing performances on the open mic too - we always do from our regular Voices, but I'm looking forward to discovering some new voices this year as well."
If you want to hear some of the best local talent in the world of poetry, music and spoken word, or you want to share your voice be sure to head to the Fountain Inn on the first Tuesday of every month, 7.30-9.30pm.
Voices from the Fountain is a pay as you feel event. There is no need to book unless you want a guaranteed performers slot. You can check out Voices Poetry on Instagram, Facebook and Blue Sky.
