Walsall Council are encouraging children to walk to school through the launch of the ‘WOW’ (Walk Once a Week) Campaign.
In this age of sedentary entertainment, the Campaign is aimed to help children achieve the recommended levels of activity recommended by the government to ensure our children stay fit and healthy. The campaign also has the additional benefits of helping parents to save on fuel and the environment, whilst also alleviating the traffic pressures in the town.
The scheme will encourage children by rewarding those who walk to school once a week with a special badge on a monthly basis.
So support your children by encouraging them to walk to school or by walking with them- always good to look after the health of our future generations!
