Sara is part of the West Midlands Covid bereaved families for justice group who are hosting tomorrow’s event at the National Arboretum, Alrewas. “The day is one of remembrance for all those lost to Covid. A chance to come together and honour and celebrate those we miss. A opportunity to be with others who truly understand your pain.”

Walsall poet Sara has written a poem especially for the event and is looking forward to sharing it with people who get it. Sara. “I’m hoping my words can bring a semblance of comfort to another.

“The West Midlands Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice group have literally become family. They understand the pain and the loss. We laugh together and we cry together but we also carry a deep bond that we will never let the names of our loved ones disappear. Even with the Covid inquiry still going on, members of the group have openly advocated for answers. Why we had to lose our loved ones? “

“I am looking forward to remembering my beautiful boy and the joy that he brought me. It’s hopefully going to be a day where I am free to miss him and celebrate the gift I had in him.”
