The start of February has seen the annual bestof competition which over 250 towns and 20,000 businesses entered in order to find the most loved in the UK.
It was another year of success for Walsall, as 39 local businesses have been voted the most loved in their category - twice as many than any other town!
The '14 days of love' competition saw tens of thousands of consumers review their favourite local business and due to the massive support of Walsall's residents, several local businesses were among the UK's top twenty most loved! These included Pizza by Carlos in Willenhall, Five Rivers A La carte Restaurant in Walsall, Harguns Sweet Centre in Caldmore and Darren Symes Butchers in Brownhills.
For thebestofwalsall it has been extremely exciting to see so many people actively talking about their favourite local businesses. With such success for Walsall, it shows the fantastic support the communities are showing for local business owners and highlights the vast number of independent businesses in Walsall providing such high quality service.
Pizza by Carlos in Willenhall, was crowned the 3rd Most Loved Business in the UK and stated that “It is very touching and a real honour to see how much our customers value what we do. It is great to see people coming out to support local businesses”.
The Towns Mayor Councillor Dennis Anson is to present Walsall’s winners with awards at a special ceremony in the Mayors Parlour on 18th March.
