Walsall picked up a home point against Crewe but it was so hard going to get back into the game against a Crewe side who are in the bottom four and have leaked plenty of goals especially on their travels. The atmosphere inside the stadium was so flat compared to the previous home game v. Wolves. What happened to the extra 3,500 fans who were at that game? So back to the 3,000 hard core home support who had to suffer such a non-descript first half where the only action of note was Andy Butler's header just before half time. Saddlers were rocked by a Crew goal scored by Chucks Anelle and just as it looked like another depressing home defeat Mark Ellis put through his own net to give Walsall a share of the points.
