Walsall Pensioners Convention were worried that pensioners would lose their free bus travel after the next election so they started a pen on paper petition to tell politicians how important their bus pass is to them.
The free bus pass is also invaluable to local tradespeople as pensioners using their passes have more cash to spend with them.
This petition will be presented at 10 Downing Street on 10th September this year. To date there are over 50,000 signatures on the petition.
Any help to swell this number would be appreciated. More information and downloadable petition forms can be obtained from the website http://lovethebuspass.den3.co.uk
Those who need or prefer to have a petition form sent by post should ring Andrea Stanton on 01922-448331, giving or leaving their name and address, and this will be sent by return
