The launch will be on 21st September 6 - 8pm and is free to atrtend. Books and artwork will be on sale throughout the event which will run until 28th October.
"It`s a joint collaboration" said David McGuire, Chair of Walsall Society of Artists "with local poets. It`s intended to be a platform for all forms of creativity in the Walsall area for people to work, perform and create together. It`s absolutely free to enter and we plan to put Walsall on the map."
Walsall poets have been working with artists to create a new body of work based on the artwork in the exhibition at The Crossing. The launch will feature spoken word performances on 21st September based on the artwork by Gerald Kells, Anthony J Ball, Leanne Cooper, Sara Meredith, Lisa Johnston, Tina J Cox, Mickey Angel, Phil Buckley, Laura Jane Round, Laura Liptrot, Jane James, Glyn Phillips, Al Barz, Andy Summers, David McGuire and Paul McDonald.
Walsall Society of Artists is non profit making and is organised for charitable purposes with the aim of advancing education and community art for the people of Walsall and surrounding region.
