Balbir Seimar BEM, has been encouraging, Daya Bhatti to flourish, not that she needed it.

Daya (pictured with Balbir)  has been and is working with other artists.

Daya’s artistic practice visually communicates the significance of traditions, histories and the hybrid British Asian identity through storytelling. Bringing to life the stories and experiences that have shaped her own identity and illustrating the stories from diverse South Asian communities.

Daya has exhibited in various galleries across the Uk alongside facilitating creative workshops and taking on commissions from clients such as Manchester Museum and Preston Park and Museum.

Currently Daya is working on a project with Creative Black Country - Walsall Makes.  3 artists have taken up residency in empty shops in Walsall to make art.

Daya’s art will explore interactive methods of storytelling by drawing parallels between a traditional Indian market stall and Walsall’s rich market history. The work aims to emphasise markets as vibrant spaces of cultural exchange and connection.
