Tenants within West Midlands House Business Centre in Willenhall today took full advantage of a free dental Health Check courtesy of the NHS Dental Bus.
An initiative to promote dental health across the Borough of Walsall the Dental Bus has been traveling to various towns and places of public access; Jeni Sellick, Centre Manager at WMH decided to bring it into the workplace for the many businesses at this site in Willenhall.
“When I first heard about the scheme I made contact with the Regeneration Team at the Council to find out how I could bring this fabulous idea into the business community at my Centre as I was sure the clients here would appreciate the opportunity to get a check right on their front door step. We all lead such busy lives that we sometimes neglect our health or fail to make the time for a regular check up, today has been a good reminder of why it’s important to look after ourselves even though we might be busy”
The Dental Bus was hugely popular and many of the employees and Business owners who attended claimed that they hadn’t made time to visit the dentist in several years and welcomed the chance to get a free check up.
One Company Director Angie James of Premier Skills Coaching said “I think it’s fantastic, It can be really stressful to run a businesses and fit in personal appointments during the working week, I’ve been trying to fit in a check up at my dentist for a few months”.
