On Saturday 15th April Caldmore Community Gardens are encouraging people to come down and check out what creatures lurks in their pond with identification sessions every half an hour between 11am - 2pm.
The event is free and will be held in their gardens in Carless Street, Walsall WS1 3RH.
There will also be frog arts and crafts for children and a Q & A session with everything you have ever wanted to know about pond fauna with Froglife at 1pm.
The event is organised in partnership with Froglife and their Coalface to Wildspace Midlands project which aims to improve habitat for reptiles and amphibians across Walsall through the creation of Neighbourhood Wildlife Corridors whilst engaging the community with their local greenspaces. This is being done through exciting workshops and events.
Froglife is a national charity concerned with the conservation of UK amphibians and reptiles and their associated habitat. They work through holistic approaches to nature conservation, by transforming landscapes, transforming lives and transforming research.
The event is funded by West Midlands Combined Authority Community Green Grants, Heart of England Community Foundation, Heritage Lottery Fund and West Midlands Greener Together.
