For the next month, an exhibition made possible by financial support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund will be on show at Walsall’s Creative Factory. “One Ring To Bind Them” champions the world of British wrestling, and features photographs of and interviews with wrestlers – aged from 16 to 60 – who train at Darlaston Town Hall.
This will be the final showing for the exhibition, which had been due for display in Wolverhampton’s Central Library until Covid intervened. Fortunately, Creative Factory stepped in to offer the window space at their community centre in The Butts, making it possible for people to enjoy the exhibition while remaining socially distanced outside.
Steve Pottinger, who is the driving force behind the project, said “It’s fantastic to see the exhibition again. The images (by Wolverhampton photographer Nicole Lovell) are superb, and complement the interviews perfectly. I’m overjoyed that Creative Factory have offered it a home.”
The exhibition is at 1, Westbourne Street, Walsall every day from 21st September until 16th October. Free to view.
